There are so many reasons why people enjoy living in Oak Forest, and the Oak Forest Homeowners Association helps support some of what makes it a great neighborhood. OFHA, Inc. is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit civic organization that fosters safety, friendship, goodwill, and community spirit in our neighborhood. Two ways we do this are through the OFHA association membership and the S.E.A.L. security program.Oak Forest
OFHA, Inc. membership helps neighbors stay informed while supporting some of the projects that make our neighborhood special. Proceeds from OFHA, Inc. membership dues, donations and its fundraisers go into our community. In addition to administering the S.E. A.L. program, the Association:
The S.E.A.L. program helps raise the level of security in our neighborhood by providing supplemental security to our law enforcement to patrol our neighborhood. The supplemental security is provided in marked cars for high visibility to help deter crime. These patrols are made possible by residents who subscribe to the program. S.E.A.L. subscriber fees are separately maintained and go directly to the cost of providing this program. OFHA volunteers support the program by devoting many hours assisting in the administration of the program.
Despite Oak Forest being the third largest subdivision in Harris County, living in Oak Forest is remarkably pleasant and neighborly. Our many parks, schools, places of worship and ease of access to the rest of Houston make Oak Forest a great place. Where else can you walk to the park, the grocery store, your child’s school, your church, plus have access to Downtown or The Galleria in less than 10 minutes…and still have a huge yard?
