Friends of Oak Forest Park

Join a historic effort to build our neighborhood’s first inclusive, wheelchair accessible public playground – a space where kids, and adults, of all abilities can play together outdoors. The Pathway to Play that will lead to the future Playground for All Abilities  has a spot to honor your family, company and service members with engraved pavers or art tiles to decorate the Nina Lee and Harold P. Hill art tile installation.

To order art tiles and engraved pavers, or make other donations to support the Playground for All Abilities, donate online: Houston Parks Board: Oak Forest Park Revitalization

Friends of Oak Forest Park

Friends of Oak Forest Park is an independent group formed in January 2016 to champion fundraising and organize community involvement supporting the park. The mission of this group is to develop a plan in conjunction with Houston Parks Board, and to raise the funds necessary, along with OFHA’s fundraising, to make the improvements deemed the most important at this time, as well as components for future phases.

While the OFHA Beautification Committee will continue to be engaged throughout all of Oak Forest, including the 4 parks that are within this area, Friends of Oak Forest Park will lead the campaign dedicated to Oak Forest Park. Houston Parks Board, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, acts as fiscal agent for all fundraising and park projects within the City of Houston.

To volunteer on future events and/or fundraising efforts with Friends of Oak Forest Park, find us on Facebook

We need your support to make this park a great place to gather and play! All park improvements that can come to fruition will be based on funds raised through private donations from our large community of residents and businesses. No contribution is too small. Funds raised will be used towards the park improvement plans and implementation.

To help the park project, please mail your tax-deductible donations to:
